Choosing languages

TapReview supports 10 local & Indian languages, plus 9 Hinglish-style Roman-script versions (Hinglish, Gujlish, and so on) for customers who speak a language but prefer typing it in English letters.

Allowed languages

Pick up to 6 languages your customers can choose from on the scan page. Choose from two groups:

• Native script: the language written in its own script, for example Hindi or Gujarati.
• Latin script (Hinglish-style): the same language typed in English letters. A Latin-script option unlocks only after you select its native language first.

If you leave every box unchecked, the scan page shows all the native-script languages by default. Narrowing the list keeps the picker relevant, so a Gujarat cafe is not offering, say, Tamil to a customer who will never use it.

Default language

The default language is the one the scan page opens in. The customer can still switch to any of your allowed languages with one tap. When you first add a language it becomes the default automatically.
